Day 140: The Mean Magician

Pecan: "Your axe bounces off the Mean Magician's magic cloak. 'Hahaha! Your weapons are useless!'"
Fetch: "Oh no! What do we do?? I ran out of magic, and Prince Roaralon is useless without his axe!"
Roary: "Hey!"
Pecan: "The Mean Magician floats in the air and charges up a ball of lightning!"
Quackie: "Wait, it's my turn! I'm going to invoke my Power Gem of Anatidae and aim it at the Magician!"
Roary: "Whoa! I forgot you had that thing. Awesome!"
Pecan: "Okay. Roll d20 and add your Wisdom modifier."
Quackie: "Come oooooon." *rolls a natural 20* "YEAH! Critical hit! I deal 33 damage!"
Fetch and Roary: "Yay!!"
Pecan: "The Power Gem glows a brilliant gold, and a shining narrow beam of light pierces the Mean Magician, who falls to his hands and knees. 'Where did you find such power??'"
Roary: "We're not telling you, you meanie!"
Pecan: "The Mean Magician stumbles weakened toward his crimson throne and reaches for the jewelled lever next to it. 'You haven't won, Hero Team. The battle has only begun.'"

Day 139: The Tower

Addicted? Yeah, probably.

May 29, 2010

Day 138: Misfits

Being different doesn't mean you're worth less.
Unless you're Canadian.*

* Canadian penny may actually be worth more, depending on when you read this. (Also, no offense. Canadians rule.)

Day 137: Clock Humor

I doubt lolclocks will catch on. But the Internet is at least as unpredictable as the Infinite Improbability Drive. So who knows?

May 27, 2010

Day 136: Shiny Things

Wheeeee, shiny round things! (The purple one's a DVD-R.)

May 25, 2010

Day 134: Where My Towel Is

Happy Towel Day! Except for yesterday. 'Cause anyone reading this is probaby not reading it until it's too late.

Happy Day After Towel Day!

Hmm. That'll work.

Day 132: The End

Lost is over. I'd say the ending was... disappointingly excellent. If that makes any sense.

It's as if I ordered a big steak dinner, and they said they're all out of food, but here's a new puppy! Well, I do really like puppies, but I'm still hungry, and I think the puppy is too.

This is my Lost shirt. Also my WEP key, because I am a nerd. I tried to shoot it at the Lost logo angle just for... fun or something. I dunno. But here it is.

Bye, Lost. You were very... Lost-y.

Day 131: Blue Pipe Flower

Ah, this is a rare find. The blue pipe flower is an unusually sturdy bloom, typically living for years without a hint of sunlight. And these flowers always seem to show up on pipes. I wonder why that is.

Day 130: Happiness

Seriously, this is what JOY tastes like. This flavor of ice cream right here. When its inventors completed it, they stood in awe of their great accomplishment. And were humbled by it. This is world peace waiting to happen. It is a reason to live.

What you are looking at is marshmallow-filled chocolate inside graham cracker ice cream.
It is Phillies Graham Slam ice cream, and it is happiness.
I'mma go get more right now, I don't care what hour it is.

Day 129: Shiny Something

It's something. And it's shiny! The title is therefore perfect. Yup.

May 19, 2010

Day 128: Rough and Smooth

...are funny sounding words! Especially if you try to say them over and over again.
"Rough and smooth, ruffin shmoov, rmluffin shoof, murfaburf..."
Erm. Yeah!

May 18, 2010

Day 127: Red Light

Camera artifacts can be cool. I think. This is from the red light on my SD card reader.

May 17, 2010

Day 126: Eye of the Monster

...
*turns the flashlight off again*

May 14, 2010

Day 123: Darkly Bright Storm Flowers

If only my camera was not a video game system. *shrug*

I took this during an oddly sunny bit of severe thunderstormy goodness. Not that it shows very well. But I think I got what I was going for here anyway. Shadowy flowers and a rainy window. Yup.

May 13, 2010

Day 122: Portal to Cherry Coke

You know, I think this looks like what Cherry Coke tastes like. Which is pretty cool when you realize this is looking into a straw that ends with Cherry Coke at the bottom. Mmmmmm.

May 12, 2010

Day 121: Pepperoni

Roary closely guarded the pepperoni.
*nom*
Roary closely guarded most of the pepperoni.

May 11, 2010

Day 120: Lamp

It is a lamp.
Don't tell anyone. It's a secret.

May 10, 2010

Day 119: Switch

I think the funny thing about this one is it looks more realistic after being 'shopped. I don't know what was up with the colors in the original. But anyway, I took this 'cause Daily Shoot said to get a picture of something I walk by every day without noticing, and this (fake wood) switch plate has been there I think since we've had the house. So it's basically mundane to me, except when I actually go and look at it.

May 9, 2010

Day 118: Glass Table

Hmm. I really couldn't tell you whether this photo was taken from underneath the table pointed up, or above pointed down. Depends on how I held the DS. I don't remember. So I'm posting it sideways. And maybe tomorrow I'll post something that wasn't taken on Friday. blug.

May 7, 2010

Day 116: Burger Inferno

The powers of fire, tamed by sorcerer Jeremy for the purpose of grillin' up burgers. They were good.

May 5, 2010

Day 114: And The Green Grass Grows All Around

Hmmm. Looks like the lamppost is growing really well this year. Aaah-yup.

May 4, 2010

Day 113: Pez

"Somehow, this is all your fault."
"Beep boop bleep."
"Oh, switch off!"

(And May the Fourth be with you.)

May 3, 2010

Day 112: Rails

Late photo, old photo. Sigh.

May 2, 2010

Day 111: Modern Lego

*adjusts his beret and strokes his chin*
This piece is one of opposites. And contrast. And things that are different. On the one hand, you have the red, which is rigid and unvarying and grounded in a dull reality. But then you have the blue, which bends reality by bending itself and having depth and changing light. How does it bend? It's no secret. It just does, because it tells you it does. There are no camera tricks here. I created this piece to challenge your understanding of reality, because reality... understands you...

(TalkingDog continued to ramble on about nothing for hours and hours. There were no survivors.)

Day 110: Spiky Thing

This is cheating (taken the same day as the buttercups), but I wanted to post it anyway. What are these things called anyway? The only thing I know to call 'em are spike balls. Anyway, I like to imagine this one was somehow the cause of the crack in the sidewalk. BAM CRACK rumble rumble THUD.
