Day 48: R for Roary

"Today is letter R, right? R is for Roary. I know 'cause 'Roary' starts with R."

"That's right."

"Is this where the pictures go in?" *sniff sniff*

"You don't have to be so close."

"But I want to be inside a picture!"

"Sigh."

Day 47: Q for Quarter

"Look how big this ancient coin is! We'll be rich!'

"It belongs in a museum!"

"Shut up. You're not Indiana Jones."

"I know. I just wanted to say that line."

Day 46: P for People

This was really the most interesting photo I got. Random mallgoers plus motion blur. Oh, well, gotta post something.

Day 45: O for Older Bros.

This is technically cheating, but if I wanted I could probably take this exact photo again, so it doesn't count. Or something. Anyway.

Maybe I'm a huge nerd (Well, yeah.), but I find this pair especially interesting next to each other. You could fit several DS cards inside that NES cartridge, and you can fit several copies of Super Mario Bros. inside that DS card.

So which one is bigger?

Day 44: N for Notes

Ahh, the ancient Casiotone MT-140. I'm not sure, but it might be older than I am. How I remember pretending to play the piano after hitting the red demo button that plays an extra cheesy MIDI-ish version of Night Birds by Shakatak. '80s-tastic.

Also, I sort of like the accidental (Get it?) sort of visual pun of a pseudo-sunrise at the end of rising notes. Heh.

Day 43: M for Munch, Munch, Munch

I'm cheating today. Didn't get anything good, so I'm pulling out one I got 10 days ago, originally intended to be "C for Crackers". Mmmm. Spicy jalapeno flavor.

Day 42: L for Life, the Universe, and Everything

The number that has Boggled the minds of many since Deep Thought's great revelation.

Day 41: K for Kettle

It is a kettle.

Day 40: J for Jeans

I've been meaning to get a closeup of denim for a while, but I also forgot for a while, so today's letter works out. Except I'm not especially happy with this one, but it'll do. *shrug*

Day 39: I for Ice

This came out awesome. Even though the light makes the ice look slightly yellow. But the flare at the bottom gives it a sort of epic movie poster feel. Yay.

Day 38: H for Heart

I heart curly fries.

Nom nom nom nom.

Day 37: G for Glasses

I like my glasses. Still my first and only pair (though not first lenses). And I don't actually need them to read, but whatever. I like this photo.

The book is The Mystery of Paradise Island, which you should own because it rules.

Day 36: F for Fake Flowers

Every once in a while we end up with real flowers, but it's not really worth it.

(Whoooops. Little bit late, this post. *nudges the clock back to 11:59 while no one's looking and hits "publish"*)

Day 35: E for Empty

No! Not again! Aaaaaaaah! *dies of thirstiness*

This... could have been better. It was cool when I was shooting it, though!

Day 32: B for Bowls

Bowls are nifty. They can carry ice cream, cereal, candy, soups, dips, or lions. I like bowls.

Day 31: A for Alternating Current

The power strip. The heart of the gamer geek bedroom, with a pulse of 3600 (or 3000) beats per minute. The greatest resource in the ongoing war against boredom.

By the way, I like that outlet's shocked expression. *snicker*

Day 30: Lots of Snooooow!

The poor lonely bush at the corner of our house has slowly been growin' back ever since our lawn got torn up to work on a plumbing problem that was never actually under our lawn. Stupid town wouldn't even look into the real problem until after we spent too much money checking our own pipes. Guh.

Ummm. Yay, snow! Snooooow, yay! Happy!

Day 29: Something Fuzzy

There's something fuzzy goin' on around here. Do I have a lion on my head? I can't tell. Can you check?

(Roary is good for photo emergencies, he is. Yup. Also, I need a haircut.)

Day 28: Odd One Out

Poor green die. "How odd he is," they say. But someday they'll realize that all of them have an odd side.

Three of them, to be precise.

Day 27: Snarlborn

We found it inside the caverns where darker wizards once lived, hidden for who knows how many centuries. It gasped and hissed at our approach, struggling against the magic seals which held it. Who brought it here? What was it? Perhaps it was part of the Snarl?

No. I could sense it. This was something else. As if someone had remade the Snarl smaller. Smarter. A great many times more deadly.

A hint of a smile crossed its face. Tendrils twisted, and the ground thundered beneath us.

No time for last words.

Day 26: Earbuds

My favorite earbuds. Relatively cheap, decent sound, and comfortable enough that I sometimes forget they're there. 'Course, I always lose those soft cover things they have within the first 10 minutes, but those don't seem to do anything anyway.

Day 25: American Reese Finch

The American Reese Finch (spinus reesus) is a bird no larger than a crumpled up Reese cup wrapper. Orange and adorable, these birds feed mainly on... whatever finches eat. And their chirp sounds like "chirp chirp chirp"!

...And then TD's creativity fell down a hole.

Day 24: Chandelier

Meh. This photo's not great, but it's the best I got today, even after some editing. I didn't even take this to be used except for a photo editing experiment. But I suppose it still has enough "ooh, shiny" to it anyway.

Day 23: 23

The Daily Shoot said I should take a photo of something "sharp".

Day 22: Escape

Long after their fall from green glory at the icy hands of autumn, these leaves now strive for freedom from the freezing prison below, hopeful for the wind to come and carry them during their last days.

I was trying to see how much motion blur I could get waving the DS around while I hit the button, and this came out.
